Personally, I don’t have any experience relating with this issue, but due to may of my reader blog reported that whenever their Yahoo Messenger upgraded to the version 11.5, they noticed that the Emoticons seem to be not working. Whenever they try to send the Emoticons from Emoticons list, the emoticons didn’t appears. On the other hand, if someone send them a message with emoticons, it still worked.
If you face this kind of problem, please enter a comment with your current version of Operating System and also Hardware specifications. Just wanna know. Otherwise you can report directly to Yahoo about this via “Report a Problem to Yahoo” under “Help” Tab on Yahoo Messenger.
Solution: Try to upgrade your Yahoo Messenger to the newest version (currently for version of Yahoo Messenger 11.5.0.155)

yahoo messenger 11.5 not working on VPN(not able to sign in).
i m using VPN connection of US, when ever i connect to it the messanger got disconnected. i have tried both msgr11us.exe and msgr11in.exe
its not working with proxy also, it keeps on waiting and waiting

yeah, I have the same problem. the emotions in Ym 11.5 are not working, I reinstall it four times and nothing.

i have the same problem too, i reinstall it so many times with different languages version but so far nothing has changed, i already use the newest version but the emoticon still not appear

i m unable to shares pics , it got hanged and when restart the chat window same problem persists.

I have the same problem with the emoticons as well. My emoticons appear and i can see them, but when i choose one and either try to use the send tab or just use the enter key on my keyboard, it will not send either way. I have also tried to uninstall it & re-install it 6 or 7 times now and it has made no difference.

i face the same problem.cannot send the smiley.i try to uninstall my sweet IM coz im using that before this..when finish uninstall and restart my yahoo messenger, i can send the smiley..so try to uninstall your sweet IM..
