We noticed that Yahoo has an open exploit than can be used to make someone that did not have authorize to change display image. If you faced or noticed that your display image has changed, it not because of a virus or trojan. It because of Yahoo has an open exploit issued that make anybody can change your display image. It not patched yet by Yahoo.

How to handle / fix this problem?

For security reason / protection, please change your display image by using Yahoo Avatar instead of Custom Image. This a great Issued!

Yahoo and YahooHelper Display Image got hacked picture

If you like to check whether this exploit issued right or wrong, you can visit the official yahoo id custom image (display image) and also the yahoo helper id that been changed / hacked. Here the url of their display image that got hacked.

If the display image above got change to “normal” again that means yahoo has patch their exploit.

Update: Yahoo had patched the exploit, the avatar image back to normal again :) (as you can see from the image above. Yesterday, The hacked avatar image has black avatar with ” I GOT HACKED” word and “Y!TunnelPro Rules! bla bla” and right now it change back to “normal” again with blank smile grey image. See the image above)
